Software your business can own.

Commission software that follows your workflow, with your data under your control. We help you decide what’s worth building, deliver in small stages and test with your team. You choose who maintains it.

Discuss what you need

How one subscription
becomes many.

For a long time, the cost of writing software put a custom system out of reach for many businesses. Software-as-a-service providers could spread that cost across thousands of customers. A subscription gave you access without funding the whole build yourself.

The trade-off was fit. You used the product the provider offered, with limited say over how it worked. When it couldn’t handle a part of your process, you bought another tool. Then another to connect the first two. Staff filled the remaining gaps with spreadsheets and copied data between systems.

Over time, the bill can reach thousands of dollars a month. Each subscription may solve a problem, but your records are spread across providers and your team still has to make the pieces work together.

The cost of building
is changing.

Better development tools, open-source software and AI-assisted coding can reduce the time it takes to build an application. The cost advantage that once made a subscription the obvious choice is worth checking again.

A business can now consider commissioning a system for its own processes where that would previously have been too expensive. Design, testing and maintenance still take work. The question is whether that investment costs less over time than the subscriptions and manual work it replaces.

Some rented tools will still be good value. We help you keep those, connect them where needed and build the parts that your business needs to control.

You commission it.
You should own it.

You know the business and fund the work. We believe the resulting software should belong to you, and that keeping us on to look after it should be your choice.

We want to earn that ongoing work by maintaining the system well, responding when you need help and making improvements worth paying for. You should be able to bring in another developer without losing access to the software you’ve paid for.

Ownership agreed before the build
We set out the deliverables and ownership rights in the project scope, with ownership transferred on full payment. We agree on source-code access and handover documentation at the outset. Third-party components keep their own licences.
Control of your data
We plan where your data lives, who can access it and how you can export and back it up. Hosting can be on your premises or in an account you control, depending on the system’s requirements.
Maintenance by choice
We can handle updates, monitoring and support under an agreed maintenance arrangement. You can also use your own team or another provider. Hosting and any third-party services still have running costs.

What we build
and support.

We build business software, connect devices and look after the systems they run on.

Workflows & automations

We connect your tools and automate repetitive tasks, such as reminding someone to approve a job or preparing a recurring report.

Approvals · Integrations · Repetitive admin

Microsoft 365 integrations and tooling

We connect Teams, Outlook, SharePoint and Excel to your other business systems, and build small tools inside them, such as a form that raises the job record or a flow that files the approval.

Teams · Outlook · SharePoint · Excel · Power Automate

AI tooling

We add AI tools for searching company documents and extracting information. Your team can review the output before using it.

Document processing · Search · Assistants

Web apps

Customer portals, dashboards and internal tools that run in a browser. We design the screens around the tasks your staff and customers need to complete.

Portals · Dashboards · Business systems

Desktop & mobile apps

We build apps for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android, choosing the platform based on the devices your team or customers use.

Mac · Windows · iOS · Android

Hardware & IoT

We connect sensors and custom hardware to your software. You can check readings and receive alerts when something needs attention.

Sensors · Connected devices · Monitoring

Database systems

When a spreadsheet has outgrown the work, we put a database behind it. Data entry becomes more robust than a spreadsheet allows, and document or information discovery happens by search rather than by hunting through folders.

Data modelling · Structured entry · Search · Reporting

Networking & on-prem systems

We configure networks and self-hosted applications on your premises, including security settings, backups and ongoing maintenance.

Networks · Self-hosting · Infrastructure

The cost of building
and running it.

We use AI to help write software. We still need to understand your processes and design and test the system; that work is part of the cost.

We compare the savings you expect with the build price and ongoing costs, including hosting and maintenance. If an existing tool can do the job for less, we’ll recommend it.

Discuss the options

Start with how
your business works.

We sit down with the people doing the work and follow a job through the business. What starts it? What information is needed? Who approves it, and what happens when something goes wrong? Those details become the records, screens and rules in your software.

For example, a job might start with an enquiry, become a quote and finish with an invoice. A shared job record could carry the customer details and approvals through those steps, with a connection to your accounting package. Your staff would no longer need to enter the same information at every stage.

We build a small part first and let your team use it. Their feedback tells us what needs changing before we move more of the business onto the system. Data migration, training and a way back if a change fails belong in that plan too.

Put the costs
side by side.

Tell us about your workflow

We start with your subscription bills and the time spent on workarounds. Then we estimate the full cost of owning a replacement, including the build, migration, hosting and ongoing maintenance.

Together, we agree on what would make the investment worthwhile and over what period. After launch, we check the actual costs and time saved against those estimates. If the numbers don’t support a build, we’ll recommend a smaller change or an existing product.

The aim is to give you a workable alternative to renting every part of your workflow, with a clear reason to invest in software of your own.
