Moving BVA’s application to Symfony and PHP 8

The Problem

BVA Metal Fabrications had an existing PHP 7 application to modernise, with performance and the day-to-day user experience central to the work.

Our Solution

We migrated the application to Symfony on PHP 8 and used Hotwire Turbo to deliver a single-page application experience. BVA also took up our subscription-based maintenance package.

Outcome

Improved application performance, smoother navigation and ongoing maintenance backed by observability tooling.

The migration

We migrated BVA Metal Fabrications’ PHP 7 application to Symfony running on PHP 8. Hotwire Turbo provides a single-page application experience, improving how users move through the system.

Ongoing maintenance

BVA also chose our subscription-based maintenance package. We use Grafana, Loki, Prometheus and OpenReplay to monitor the application and investigate issues as they arise.
